How much does foam cut to size cost?
The price depends on the shape, dimensions, thickness and foam grade you choose, plus any extras such as Dacron or stockinette. Our online cut to size calculator gives you an instant, exact price as you enter your measurements, so you know the full cost before you check out. Delivery is free on orders over £100 to Zone 1 addresses.

Which foam is best for sofa cushions?
For seat cushions up to 4″ (10cm) thick, we recommend GB 39H, a firm foam that holds its shape well in thinner cushions. For seat cushions over 4″ (10cm), GB 41M gives a medium feel with long-lasting support. For back cushions, GB 39S is a luxury soft foam. It is too soft for seats but ideal for backs. How do I measure my cushions?
Measure the width, depth and thickness of the cushion cover from seam to seam with a tape measure, rather than measuring the old foam, which may have shrunk or sagged. Our cut to size wizard accepts mm, cm or inches. If your cushion isn’t a standard shape, choose the closest template or use our custom shape option. Do I need stockinette and Dacron?
Neither is essential, but both are worth adding to replacement sofa cushions. Dacron is a polyester wadding wrapped around the foam to add loft and fill out the cover for a plumper, rounded look. Stockinette is a thin fabric sleeve over the foam that helps the cushion slide into its cover easily. You can add either during step 4 of our ordering process for a small extra charge.

How quickly will my foam arrive?
Order before 11:00am Monday to Thursday and we’ll despatch your foam for next working day delivery to Zone 1 addresses, which cover a large part of the UK. Zone 2 deliveries usually take 24 to 48 hours, and Zones 3 and 4 take 48 to 72 hours. Every order is tracked, and most are delivered by DPD.

Can I choose my delivery date?
Yes. GB Foam Direct is the only UK foam supplier that lets you choose your delivery date. For Zone 1 addresses, our courier delivers on the selected date around 98% of the time. Saturday delivery is available in Zone 1 for an extra £10. Once your order is on its way, you can also reschedule or choose a safe place through DPD.

Can you cut a shape that isn’t listed?
Yes. Our templates cover the most popular shapes, but we can cut foam to almost any size or shape. Choose the Custom Shape option and send us a template, either as a drawing or digital file emailed to sales@gbfoam.com, or as a physical template posted to our factory in High Wycombe. Our CNC machines and expert freehand cutters will match it precisely.

Can you laminate memory foam to a firmer base?
Yes. We can bond a layer of memory foam to a firmer polyurethane base foam, giving you pressure-relieving comfort on top with supportive foam underneath. It’s a popular choice for seat pads, mattresses and campervan beds. Can I add a note for the cutting team?
Yes. Add any special instructions in the order notes at checkout, such as which way a wedge should slope or how cushions should be labelled. Can you supply foam cut to size near me?
Yes, wherever you are in the UK. We cut every order at our factory in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, and deliver nationwide by tracked courier, with next working day delivery across Zone 1. If you’re local, you can also collect your order from the factory free of charge.

Can I return made-to-measure foam?
Because foam cut to size is made to your specifications, the standard distance selling cancellation rights don’t apply, so we can’t accept returns for a change of mind or incorrect measurements. If your foam arrives damaged, faulty or not cut to the sizes you ordered, contact us straight away and we’ll put it right. All our foam carries a 5 year guarantee against manufacturing faults.

Is your foam fire safe?
Yes. Our foams are independently tested and comply with UK fire safety regulations, including the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations for upholstery foam, and often exceed the required standards. We also supply Class 0 fire resistant foam for higher-risk and commercial settings. Contact us if you need compliance details for a particular foam grade.
